LEFT OR RIGHT?

Target language: car, ball, balloon, boat, computer, doll, kite, scooter, teddy bear, train;on the left, on the right
Time: 10 minutes
Materials: worksheet
- Show the children the handout and go through the following instructions before giving it to them.
- Ask the children to carefully study the picture: ”Look at the picture.“
- Ask what is on the left: “What’s on your left?“ And then on the right: “What’s on your right?“
- The children take it in turns to name the toys which are on the left and then those which are on the right.
- Or you can ask this the other way around, e.g.: “Where’s the car? On the left or on the right?“
- Finally the children draw the toys into a table - the toys which are on the left go in the left column and those on the right go in the right column. This can be done as homework or in an arts lesson.
