Time: 10 minutes
Materials: flashcards, short and simple story

  • Either tell or read your students a story.
  • Every time they hear, for example, names of clothing, they lift a corresponding picture.

Alternative:

You may have the students concentrate on one word that is repeated in the story. Every time they hear it, they either lift a card or hand. You may decide on a different signal – stamping, clapping, etc.

Note:

Children may work on their own, in pairs, or in groups (depending on how many pictures you have).
