Cross-curricular links: English language, Art
Time: 10 minutes
Materials: various sheets of coloured paper
- Attach coloured sheets of paper to the walls around the classroom.
- Split the children into teams and select a ’runner’ to represent each team.
- Bring all the runners into the middle of the classroom before calling out a colour and demonstrating that the first child to touch the corresponding card wins a point for their team.
- Change the runners from every team and repeat until everyone has had a chance to play.
