ROBO-STEVE (DVD)

Time: 5-10 minutes
Materials: DVD player
- Play the whole DVD clip without pauses.
- Play the DVD clip for a second time with pauses.
- Pause the DVD clip each time Maggie gives Robo-Steve an instruction.
- Invite a child to the screen to become the ’class robot’; you might want to demonstrate what to do yourself first. Then encourage the class to give the robot simple directions (up, down, left and right) to position the robot’s finger on the place that Robo-Steve is going to move to.
- Resume the DVD clip to see if the class was right and repeat for the other prepositions, changing the class robot as necessary.
