Time: 15 minutes
Materials: worksheet, pencils, crayons, scissors
- Give the pupils the worksheet with pre-drawn picture halves and ask “What is it? Try to guess”.
- Then get the pupils to complete the other half of the picture “Finish the (flower)“. They could cut out the individual pictures to make flashcards “Take your scissors and cut out the pictures.“
- Finally practice the vocabulary – Show the pupils a picture and ask ”What is it?“. The pupils reply “It’s a/an (noun)“.
Extension Activity:
Make ’butterfly’ pictures by pouring some paint onto a sheet of paper and fold it in half to make perfectly symmetrical pictures. Describe the colours or draw your own symbol to represent each season.
