Target language: Numbers 1 – 12, spring, summer, autumn, winter
Language structures: What’s the time? - It’s (2) o’clock; It’s sunny/cloudy/windy/raining/snowing.
Time: 15 minutes
Materials: a set of paired cards
- Watch the DVD clips and encourage the children to Say with Steve where appropriate.
- Play the DVD clip again but add pauses just before Maggie turns over a new card. Ask the children to guess what will be on the card by saying “Can you guess what season is on this card?”.
- Repeat the above for all cards used in the clip.
- Finally, say “goodbye” to Steve and Maggie when the clip has finished.
