WHOSE ARM IS THIS?
(Body)

Subject: Humans and their world
Cross-curricular links: English language
Target language: arm, hair, hand, head
Language structures: possessive cases ’s
Time: 10-15 minutes
Materials: blindfold

  • Stand the children in a circle.
  • Choose someone to be blindfolded.
  • Choose a second pupil to come next to the blindfolded pupil and hold out a body part (noses can be fun if the children are ok with this activity).
  • The blindfolded pupil must identify who is standing next to him/her by touching that person’s head, hair, arms and legs with his/her hands. Ask as a class “Whose arm/hand/head/hair is this?”
  • When they guess, encourage them to say: “It’s (Petr’s) (arm)”, then return them to the circle.
  • Blindfold the pupil who was recognised and continue.
