• Put the cards in a row on the wall/board/floor.
• Explain to the children that they must shout out “STOP” as soon as your finger is above a flashcard of your choosing, ask the children to “Say stop! When my finger is above the (doctor)“.
• Move your forefinger quite quickly above the row of pictures. The children should shout out “Stop!” when your forefinger is above the correct flashcard.
• Reward the best student by inviting them to become ’teacher’.

Note:

The activity can be adapted to practise any vocabulary.
