SORTING AND MATCHING
(Food)

• Prepare three boxes of different colours, e.g. RED BOX, GREEN BOX, and BLUE BOX.
• Give each student one or more flashcards (depending on how many cards and children there are).
• Demonstrate that the children are to put fruit into the red box; vegetables into the green box; and drinks into the blue box.
• Children take turns in showing their card to the rest of the class and throwing it into the right box. If they throw the picture in the right box, the rest applaud; if they make a mistake, the rest stamp their feet.

Note:

The activity can be adapted to practise any vocabulary.
