TRUE OR FALSE?
(Verbs and Prepositions of Place)

Subject: Humans and their world
Cross-curricular links: English language
Time: 10 minutes

  • Ask children a simple question: “What shines?” and complete various nouns and names of things that really shine, e.g. the sun shines; a lamp shines; a star shines; etc.
  • After each sentence, children raise their hands above their heads to show it is true: “Put your hands up if it’s true.”
  • Then, include something that does not shine, e.g. A pig shines. Children should not raise their hands after such a sentence: “Don’t put up your hands, it’s false."
  • Children have a lot of fun when imagining all the nonsense.
