(Body)

Subject: Humans and their world
Cross-curricular links: English language, Music, Physical education
Target language: back, chin, hand, head, knee, nose
Time: 10 minutes
Materials: a ball for each pupil (or paper crunched into a ball)

  • Ask the children to line up and come to take a ball each. Say “Line up please and take a ball each”.
  • Tell the children where to put the ball in relation to their body and anything else they should do with it (see the classroom language below).

Classroom language:

Put the ball on your head and dance.
Put the ball under your chin and hop.
Put the ball on your back and run.
Put the ball on your nose and walk.
Put the ball between your hands and dance.
Put the ball between your knees and jump.
